Nebelkerzen im Spiegelkabinett

PARIS. Ein paar Meter neben dem Etablissement, das die korrupte und vom IOC suspendierte International Boxing Association IBA (formerly known as the totally corrupt AIBA) für ihre merkwürdige Pressekonferenz gewählt hatte, findet man eine Location, die noch besser geeignet gewesen wäre: das Musée Grévin, mit dem Cabinet Fantastique und mehr als 250 Wachsfiguren sowie dem Palais des Mirages. 

Aus dem Wachsfigurenkabinett wurde der leibhaftige Wladimir Putin allerdings Anfang März 2022 entfernt, wenige Tage nach dem russischen Überfall auf die Ukraine. Das ist irgendwie blöd, denn in der IBA genießt Putin ja gottähnlichen Status wie Thomas Bach im IOC.

Putin, der Kreml und Gazprom, ist fast dasselbe, finanzieren die IBA und wie man hört auch etliche Nationalverbände, die nur deshalb noch unter dem Dach jenes Weltverbandes vereint sind und partout noch nicht zum neuen Konkurrenzverband World Boxing wechseln wollen. Obwohl klar ist, dass nur World Boxing eine Zukunft des olympischen Boxens garantieren kann. Das hat nicht nur Thomas Bach am Samstag in Paris gesagt, das hat James Macleod, Director NOC Relations des IOC, schon im April 2024 in einer Email an die Präsidenten und Generalsekretäre aller Nationalen Olympischen Komitees geschrieben:

The IOC is not in a position to organise another Olympic boxing tournament. To keep boxing on the Olympic programme, the IOC needs a recognised and reliable International Federation as a partner, as with all the other Olympic sports.

The establishment of such a federation, which respects the IOC conditions for recognition, is now in the hands of the National Boxing Federations and their National Olympic Committees (NOCs). These conditions include good governance, the integrity of competitions, transparency of finances and accounts, and autonomy. Every National Boxing Federation and every NOC that wants its boxers to make their Olympic dreams a reality and win medals will now have to take the necessary decisions. The NOCs and National Boxing Federations thus hold the future of Olympic boxing in their own hands, and the required actions cannot be clearer.

At the moment, boxing is not on the sports programme for the Olympic Games LA28. In order to remedy this, the IOC needs to have a partner International Federation for boxing by early 2025.

Auch deshalb habe ich mehrfach korrekt berichtet, dass die IBA keine Zukunft hat. Noch aber lebt sie und Kremlev bleibt mit dem Geld von Gazprom und sonstiger Kreml-Unterstützung der Präsident.

Der Fall Imane Khelif: hier spricht der Kreml

Der Wille Russlands und das gigantische Versagen des IOC: Das IOC hätte besser vorbereitet sein müssen, vor allem um die betroffenen Athleten zu schützen und die Integrität der olympischen Wettbewerbe zu gewährleisten. Das ist nicht geschehen. Die Opfer sind, wie immer, die Sportler.

Heute war übrigens auch der Tag, an dem dem Putin, der Kreml bzw das Ministry of Internal Affairs, ist fast dasselbe, den Doping-Kronzeugen Grigori Rodschenkow wieder auf die russische Wanted-Liste setzte.
